Shark Tank Boogie Box Fitness Update
- Entrepreneurs: Dede Barbanti-Parra and Kathy Lamm
- Business: Fitness DVDs
- Ask: $700,000 for 70% equity
- Result: No deal
- Sharks: None
Dede and Kathy entered the tank with a demonstration of their workout classes. Their company Boogie Box Fitness has created a workout style that fuses hip hop, latin dance, kickboxing, plyometric movements, and hardcore resistance training.
When asked about sales, the ladies shared that the DVD portion of their business had not yet earned any sales. They were anticipating that it would make up 80%-90% of their revenue. The live-class portion of the business which launched in the year prior to filming, had earned $15,000, but that specific side of the business was not being offered to the sharks.
Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O’Leary dropped out due to lack of sales. Kevin Harrington said it was too early to invest, so he went out next. Barbara Corcoran loved the ladies but not the valuation, so she too dropped out.
With no offers from the sharks, Dede and Kathy were forced to leave the tank without a deal. What happened next for their company? Keep reading our Boogie Box Fitness update to find out!
