- Result: No deal

Ashlee Turner brought her company and product, The Pocket Panty to
The Pocket Panty is her answer to a discreet solution for any woman who needs an emergency pair of underwear. It comes in a small and discreet package that can simply be kept in the woman’s purse.
Ashlee adds that the pair of underwear inside is comfortable and reusable. Additionally, they are one-size fits most, however she says that she will have a plus-size option coming soon.
At this point in her presentation, she hands out samples to the sharks. This leads Lori Greiner to ask Ashlee if she’s done any research on how many women would use such a product.
She replies that she has gone to many schools and passed out pairs of The Pocket Panty to women. She then asked for customer feedback, and many women told her that they’d love to have a pair in their glove compartment.
Robert Herjavec wants to know about sales. It turns out that she launched in the last quarter of 2021, and ended the year with $8,000 in sales. However, her lifetime sales are $60,000.
Mark Cuban asked her about her background. Ashlee said she started out in real estate, before deciding to go into this business.
In terms of cost, one pair costs her $2.24 to make. She then wholesales each unit for $5 and retails them for $10.
Guest shark Emma Grede asks Ashlee where she’s selling the underwear. Ashlee says that she’s mostly selling them online, but she’s also in several boutiques, as well as all-girl private schools.
Mark Cuban wants to know if Ashlee is on social media. Although, she says that it’s just not in her wheelhouse.
Just then, Lori Greiner jumps in and says that she believes there are better sharks to make a deal for her. With that, she drops out.
Robert speaks up next, telling Ashlee that she is a powerhouse. However, her wonderful personality doesn’t match up with the lack of sales, and he can’t understand why.
He adds that the product is good, but has too many concerns to invest, so for that reason, he is out next.
Mark says that it’s hard to sell a product as an impulse buy. This is why he thinks that Ashlee should be using social media to pitch the product to users in advance.
Then, she should be using the platforms to drive traffic to her website, so that customers can stow it away for when they need it. So, because she has not been willing to grow on social media, Mark eventually drops out.
Kevin O’Leary ultimately believes that the product is too expensive. While he’s not an underwear expert, he says he does know pricing, so he goes out.
This leaves shark Emma, as the only shark left in the game, and Ashlee’s only hope to get a deal on
She also thinks that Ashlee should drop her price to $3.99, and needs to keep working hard to convince every woman in America that she needs to go out and buy a pair of The Pocket Panty.
All of this leads Emma to ultimately dropping out, however, not before encouraging Ashlee to keep going with her dream.
With that, Ashlee is forced to leave
In terms of The Pocket Panty update, the company is still in business. Despite not getting a deal, Ashlee received a nice boost in sales following the airing of the episode.
In addition to The Pocket Panty, she also sells hair bonnets on her website, as well as 5-packs of emergency underwear.
While it seems she hasn’t been able to lower the price yet, hopefully, the exposure from the show can help get marketing costs down and allow her to have more competitive pricing.
