 Joel Vinocur and Arsene Millogo were seeking better options for athletic shoes. They have set out to design the most comfortable, lightweight and shock absorbent shoes on the market. Will their company earn a deal on Shark Tank Season 6? Find out in our Forus Athletics update!

  • Ask: $200,000 for 15% equity
  • Result:  No deal
  • Sharks:  None

Joel and Arsene brought their athletic shoes to the tank. Their company Forus Athletics, manufactures innovative footwear. With gel and memory foam inserts, the shoe molds to the foot over time. The guys passed out samples to each of the sharks and Robert Herjavec tried them on and even said they were comfortable.  

A single pair of shoes is made for between $11.00 and $13.00, whole sales for between $35.00 and $50.00, and retails for between $75.00 and $85.00. With such impressive margins, the sharks were certainly interested in learning more about the company’s sales and financial background. Once the sharks heard that the company had generated $500,000 in sales in the 6 months prior to filming, they grew even more intrigued and interested.

Lori Greiner was the first shark to drop out, stating that the shoe industry held too much competition. Kevin O’Leary felt like the company faced an uphill battle in distribution and marketing, so he dropped out next.  Mark Cuban went out next due to partnerships with other shoe brands. 

Robert and Daymond were the final two sharks remaining, but they both eventually dropped out. With no offers from the sharks, Joel and Arsene were forced to leave the tank without a deal. What happened next for their company? Keep reading our Forus Athletics update to find out! 

We have sad news to report in our Forus Athletics update. Sadly, the company didn’t last long after appearing on Shark Tank.  By the end of 2015, Forus Athletics no longer existed and both entrepreneurs had moved onto new projects. This will be our final Forus Athletics update.
