During their pitch, Neil and Justin explained the technology and science behind the development of their Napwell sleeping mask. The napper had the ability to set a sleep timer and 10 minutes before waking, a series of lights would increase, mimicking a sunrise. While this was interesting and creative, the sharks had a hard time figuring out how they would deliver the message to consumers about how the product works.
Mark Cuban wasn’t buying their pitch, so he was the first shark to drop out. Kevin O’Leary saw too many issues with their marketing plan, so he dropped out next. Lori Greiner believed that there were plenty of alternatives out there to help people gradually wake up without experiencing negative health effects, so she dropped out as well. Robert Herjavec and Daymond John also decided to drop out without making an offer because they believed it wasn’t the right type of investment for them.
