Henry and Alex’s company, Brake Free Technologies, appeared on Shark Tank Season 12 Episode 8. They explained that their product is designed to help motorcyclists stay safe on the road, in addition to helping other cars easily see the brake lights.

The attachable light is easy to mount on any helmet and automatically senses when the rider is braking. During the pitch on Shark Tank, Brake Free Technologies was finishing up an IndieGoGo campaign.

They raised $240,000 in pre-order sales. Each brake light costs $169 to pre-purchase and was manufactured for $42. Henry and Alex are hoping that in a few years, their brake light will be an essential item in the motorcycle community.

The pitch went well and caught the interest of Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban, who offered Henry and Alex $200,000 for 20% equity in the company.

The founders accepted the offer, and Brake Free Technologies left Shark Tank with a deal.
