Nic is a professional surfer that ended up with a bad concussion and couldn’t find a good solution to get relief from migraine pains. So he created IceBeanie.

As the name implies, it’s basically a beanie that’s also an ice pack. Nic shared that the compression around his head helped relieve him of a lot of migraine pain.

Despite only being live for a few months, IceBeanie has already sold 2,500 units, which has resulted in $100,000 in sales. All of these sales have been direct to consumers through Amazon, Etsy, and the IceBeanie website.

Even better, Nic is able to make an IceBeanie for $7 and sells them for $39.95.

Further, Nic has used his leverage as a professional athlete to get even more athletic influencers to help promote the product. He shared that a lot of athletes enjoy using it after an intense workout to help cool down.

Kevin O’Leary shared that while he respected the business that Nic had built, he felt that the market was just too small and dropped out.

Lori Greiner felt that the competition would be too much to compete with and dropped out.

Mark Cuban liked the business and said that if all else failed he could get them into the Dallas Mavericks locker room. He offered him $50,000 for 30% of the company, and Nic negotiated the deal to $50,000 for 25% equity.

After agreeing to the deal, Robert Herjavec and Daymond John both expressed interest in making an offer. Daymond even offered Nic $100,000 for 25% equity, after the deal with Mark had been made.

Despite this, Nic honored his deal with Mark, and IceBeanie finally left the tank with a new partner. Keep reading our IceBeanie update to find out what happened after Shark Tank!
