Mikki Bey began her pitch with a demonstration on Mark Cuban. She invited him up to the table to get his eyelashes enhanced, but only attached one lash.
Thankfully, she had before-and-after models ready to go so that the sharks got the full picture. Her proprietary method was blazing new trails in the eyelash extension industry.
She wanted to patent the process and add more staff, which is how she would use the $300,000 investment from the sharks. Kevin O’Leary is unsure about the value of the company, but Mikki says that in the previous year she had $130,000 in sales. He wanted to license her eyelash system, which cut down installation time drastically.
Kevin didn’t think there was any room for an investor, unfortunately. He didn’t see the company’s value and told Mikki that she wouldn’t get a deal. Mikki was visibly upset and pleaded with the sharks to take a chance on her.
Barbara Corcoran went out next. She said she has a service, not a business, and it’s not investible. Lori Greiner followed. Though she believed in Mikki, she didn’t think it was right for her.
Mark left next because of the business model, and Robert Herjavec didn’t think it was scalable.

Unfortunately, our Mikki Bey update has some bad news. Though Mikki had a fire to keep going, she closed her salon just one year after the show aired.
Instead, Mikki went on to get a business degree from Pepperdine and now works in pharmaceuticals. This will be our final Mikki Bey update.
