Booby Pack Update

  • Entrepreneurs: C.C. Conrad
  • Business: Sports bra with pockets
  • Ask: $80,000 for 20% equity
  • Result: $80,000 for 25% equity
  • Sharks: Barbara Corcoran

C.C. walked into the tank with a friend who was modeling one of her Booby Pack sports bras. She demonstrated how supportive and handy her bras are. They come with pockets on the side for storing things like a cell phone or credit card and they’re fashionable too. C.C. passed out personalized products to all of the sharks.

With a variety of sizes from small to x-large, C.C. told the sharks that each unit cost $7.17 to make. She sells them for $55.00, which is an impressive profit margin. All of her revenue comes from e-commerce and online sale’s from the company’s website. Since launching, she has generated $167,000 in revenue, and is looking to reach new levels with the help of a shark.

Mark Cuban believed that it would be hard to scale the company, so he was the first shark to drop out. Kevin O’Leary decided to make an offer of $80,000 for 0% equity, but he wanted a $10.00 royalty per unit in perpetuity. Barbara Corcoran dropped out, stating that she didn’t think C.C. needed her. Lori dropped out, because she felt it was too early to invest.

Robert Herjavec on the other hand was interested in investing, and offered her $80,000 for 30%. At that point, Kevin revised his offer to $80,000 with $10.00 royalty per unit until $320,000 was recouped. After that, he would take 5%. Just as things were heating up in the tank, C.C. asked Robert if he would bring his offer down to 25% and he said no. Not a second later, Barbara said she’d take that deal and just like that, C.C. accepted her offer.

Now that C.C. and Barbara have struck a deal, what became of her sports bra company? Keep reading our Booby Pack update to find out!

Unfortunately, our Booby Pack update holds some bad news. It turns out that the deal with Barbara never finalized. The company ultimately folded about four years after appearing on Shark Tank, at the beginning of the 2018 calendar year. This will be our final Booby Pack update.
