  • Entrepreneurs: Paul Watts
  • Business: Graffiti Removal
  • Ask: $350,000 for 15% equity
  • Result: No deal
  • Sharks: None

Paul brought his company Graffiti Removal Services to Shark Tank Season 1 and even demonstrated how his product removes graffiti from signs and structures with ease.

He already had a company located in Sacramento, California but had hopes of turning his business into a franchise of mobile services across the country.

At the time of filming, he was generating a gross profit of about $230,000. The net profit was significantly less at just around $75,000. This was the only active source of revenue for the company, which did provide some concerns to the sharks.

Barbara Corcoran did not believe in the business model, so she was the first shark to drop out. Kevin Harrington had similar concerns and decided to drop out as well.

Daymond John didn’t think the company was investable, so he too dropped out. Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary offered Paul $350,000 for 75% equity, but Paul rejected the offer and he left the tank without a deal.

What happened next for his company? Keep reading our Graffiti Removal Services update to find out!

We have good news to share in our Graffiti Removal Services update. Unlike many of the Shark Tank Season 1 companies, it turns out that Paul’s company is still in business.

Paul was kind enough to agree to a quick interview with us to share how his company has grown since Shark Tank. “We are bigger than ever and have grown every year since the show,” Paul told us.

“The show did not produce any new revenue, but with a lot of work and persistence and a great staff I moved the business to Portland, Oregon because there is more graffiti,” said Paul.

In terms of a Graffiti Removal Services update, it seems this was a pretty good move. Paul told Shark Tank Recap that the company has gone from $275,000 a year in revenue to just under $4 million.
