Shark Tank The NitroForce Titan 1000 Update

Founders of The NitroForce Titan 1000, Frank and Debrae, showed off their home gym system to the sharks. They then explained how it worked, with Frank even demonstrating the exercises that could be done on it.
Barbara Corcoran then asked if they brought a prototype, but Debrae said they’d actually manufactured ninety of them altogether.
However, the business was new, and Kevin O’Leary was put off by the lack of sales. Although, in response, Debrae explained they sold them to clients so far, at $1299 a piece, with $259 to build.
Kevin was taken aback by the valuation, especially considering the minimal sales. Frank highlighted that the valuation was for the intellectual property.
Further, Debrae adds that between her and Frank, they’ve invested about $200,000 of their own money. However, this has been over 8 a total of 8 years.
Robert Herjavec wanted to know what the vision for it was, and they confirmed that they wanted to do sales directly to consumers. Although, Robert was skeptical about how much people would use it in that case.
In fact, he said that 98% of equipment that people buy in the consumer market, is never used more than once. Debra responded saying that it was because the equipment usually isn’t good enough for the user.
Robert disagrees, saying that it’s actually because most people are lazy, and don’t want to put in the work.
Kevin speaks up, and says that the industry requires too much money, and few guarantees of making it. He eventually went out, because he ultimately thought the business model was too uncertain.
Mark Cuban asks who their biggest competition is. Frank says that the one thing The NitroForce Titan 1000 can do, that other units cannot, is penetrate the intermediate and professional expert who already works out.
Further, Barbara didn’t get what was unique about it. Debrae said it’s the resistance, and gas shocks, which are better than weights, because weights can cause injuries.
Daymond John built on this, stating that it would take them millions just to educate people on what made the system stand out, so for this reason, he went out.
Additionally, Mark told them they couldn’t come into the tank with no proven sales distribution model, and with a $2.5 million valuation. He went out, followed by Barbara who also didn’t have any interest in the product.
Robert ultimately went out, because he didn’t like the look of the equipment. This left Debrae and Frank without a deal.
They had to leave the tank empty-handed, but did they make it work following
The NitroForce Titan 1000 update reveals that the company is still in business, with new models and expansions. Despite the sharks’ skepticism, the exposure from the show actually brought Frank and Debrae sales and customer interest.
