  • Sharks: None

Sarah brought her sweet treat known as Schulzies Bread Pudding to the tank. She ran a little walk-up order window on Venice Beach for a year and a half, earning $190,000. After gaining a following, she decided to expand her territory. She did an asset purchase agreement with someone else, which freed her up to seek out a new location in San Francisco while the other person ran her business.

Sarah’s inexpensive 140-square-foot space made a great profit, $1,300 per square foot to be exact. However, her new, 800-square foot walk-in store in San Francisco was only generating $450 per square foot in sales. Kevin O’Leary told her she wouldn’t be making any money that year with those numbers.

The panel was shocked when Sarah told them she had invested a $300,000 inheritance on Schulzies Bread Pudding. The sum had been bequeathed by her dad, for whom her business was named. Kevin warned Sarah that she didn’t seem to have a plan for business operations, and that would spell trouble for her company if it wasn’t quickly addressed. For that reason, he was out.

Barbara Corcoran told Sarah her bread pudding was delicious, but her instinct told her that she would never make mone, so she was out. Robert Herjavec said he had a similar hunch. He admired Sarah’s passion, but said she didn’t have much of a business plan, and he too bowed out.

Mark Cuban told Sarah that she was her own greatest risk to the company, and that she needed to partner with someone with the business acumen to compensate for her weak areas, but that person wasn’t Mark– he was out. This wasn’t the right investment for Lori Greiner, either, and she was the last shark to drop out.

Sarah left without a deal, but what happened next for her company? Keep reading our Schulzies Bread Pudding update to find out!

We have sad news to share. Unfortunately, the company is no longer in business. It looks as though Sarah’s San Francisco location closed in mid 2015, and her Venice Beach location closed sometime after. This will be our final Schulzies Bread Pudding update.
