Halloween Moments Update

Halloween Moments Update | Shark Tank Season 14

Daryl Kay Braithewaite came up with the idea for Halloween Moments while carving pumpkins with his kids during Halloween. The messy task of scooping out the slimy insides frustrated his children, who refused to participate. This experience led him to create a mess-free pumpkin carving kit, which solves the problem and makes the activity enjoyable for both kids and adults. Is this an idea the sharks would like to invest in? Let’s dive into our Halloween Moments update and pitch recap to find out.

Halloween Moments offers a mess-free pumpkin carving kit designed for families to enjoy carving jack-o-lanterns without removing slimy pumpkin insides.

The kit includes specialized gloves, a scraper, and carving tools, all designed to make pumpkin carving simple, clean, and enjoyable for users of all ages.

The sharks seemed interested in the concept. They asked about sales figures, manufacturing costs, and market potential.

Daryl explained that the kits are priced between $9.99 and $15.99, depending on the sales channel, and they cost $1.78 to produce.

Additionally, he has patented the product and has two more utility patents pending.

The business generated $100,000 in gross revenue, splitting most of the revenue between 2021 and 2022.

The sharks were surprised to learn that Daryl had raised more than $800,000 to fund the company.

However, this revelation completely affected the negotiations, mainly because the sharks just couldn’t believe that the company required such a significant amount of money.

Daymond John says entrepreneurs can make the same mistakes with $10,000 as they can with $300,000.

Considering that this was a liability to his investment, Daymond couldn’t risk his own money in this deal, so he exited the negotiations.

Kendra Scott says she loves the product and would buy it personally, but she feels Daryl’s numbers don’t add up, so she also exits.

Mark Cuban says Daryl is too invested in inventory, and if anything goes wrong, the business could collapse. He decides not to invest and exits as well.

Kevin O’Leary likes the idea but thinks $300,000 is too much to ask for the current state of the business, so he exits without making an offer.

Lori Greiner calls Halloween Moments the best Halloween product she’s ever seen.

However, she feels that Daryl asked for too much money and took on more inventory than necessary, so she declined to invest.

Ultimately, no shark made an offer, and Daryl left without a deal.

Shark Tank Halloween Moments Update

Our Halloween Moments update revealed that the company’s flagship product, The Pumpkin Glove Scraper Kit, gained traction in major retail stores like Walmart shortly after its episode aired.

The product also became available on Amazon, reaching a broader audience.

However, its momentum seemed to wane after November 2022.

Our Halloween Moments update found that its social media accounts became inactive, and updates on the company’s progress or plans were notably sparse.

Regardless, it seems that Halloween Moments has become a good side business for Daryl.

If we learn more, we will be back with another Halloween Moments update.
