Will he get a deal on Shark Tank Season 6? Find out in our Bed Ryder update.

Shark Tank Bed Ryder Update

Bed Ryder Update

  • Entrepreneurs:  George Conway
  • Business: Pickup truck seating
  • Ask: $200,000 for 15% equity
  • Result:  No deal
  • Sharks:  None

George came into the tank with a pickup truck displayed. He demonstrated how to easily install the Bed Ryder seats into the back of any pickup truck. He explained that in the south where he’s from, they call this conversion a “Truck-U-V’, which the sharks found humorous.

George admitted that his sales were fairly low and that he had only sold 800 units in the the four years prior to filming. To manufacture a single unit costs $300.00 and they sold for $699.00 per set, which includes the seats and all of the equipment required for installation.

Lori Greiner was worried that the seats wouldn’t withstand a potential rollover or crash, so she was first to drop out. Kevin O’Leary liked George, but hated the product, so he went out next. Mark Cuban believed the market was too unpredictable, and he wasn’t sure he’d get back his investment, so he too went out. Robert Herjavec didn’t think the product would replace SUVS, so for that reason, he went out.

Last but not least, Barbara Corcoran dropped out because she hated the fact that the inventor of the product wasn’t there. Without meeting him, she couldn’t possibly invest. George was forced to leave the tank without a deal. So what happened with his company? Keep reading our Bed Ryder update to find out!

We have bad news to share in our Bed Ryder update. The company appears to be out of business. The product is no longer available on Amazon and no company website can be found. This will be our final Bed Ryder update.
