Shark Tank Elliptical Stroller Update
- Entrepreneurs: Pier Paolo Visconti
- Business: Elliptical Stroller
- Ask: $500,000 for 40% equity
- Result: No deal
- Sharks: None
After demonstrating his Elliptical Stroller, some of the sharks believed that it was way too heavy. Their concerns were related to the fact that it would not easily be portable if someone wanted to place the stroller into their car.
Elliptical Stroller did not have any sales at the time of the pitch, as it was still in the prototype phase and Pier Paolo Visconti wanted help from the sharks in order to help retrieve the money for safety testing and distribution. His vision for licensing the product was also a possibility because he had several exclusive patents for this particular stroller.
Kevin O’Leary decided that he was not interested and ultimately passed on making an offer. Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner also agreed that the risk was way too much for a $500,000 investment, so they both decided to drop out. Two sharks remained in the negotiations but it did not look like the Elliptical Stroller was going to receive an investment due to a large amount of risk.
Robert Herjavec and Daymond John ultimately dropped out without making an offer as well. Pier Paolo Visconti was forced to leave
During our Elliptical Stroller update research, we found that website is still active but we are unsure if the company is still in business, as products cannot be purchased through it and it appears that Pier Paolo Visconti continues to split his time between being an entrepreneur and a real estate agent in Florida.
