Shark Tank Brumachen Update

Brumachen Update

  • Entrepreneur: Ross Smith and Kweku Larbi
  • Business: Portable coffee maker
  • Ask: $1,000,000 for 10% equity
  • Result: No Deal
  • Shark: None

The Brumachen portable coffee maker appeared on Shark Tank Season 12 Episode 11 and was pitched by founder Kweku and brand ambassador Ross.

Kweku essentially created a portable coffee maker that users can plug into a wall or car and operate with a rechargeable battery in virtually any situation.

Further, the coffee maker works with any type of coffee pod on the market. Kweku shared that he was a civil engineer, and came up with the idea after his workers were spending too much time going to get coffee while at remote job locations.

However, despite a great product, sales haven’t been great for Brumachen. At the time of the pitch, Brumachen only had $42,000 in sales to date.

That said, during the Brumachen Shark Tank pitch, Kweku shared that he had also created a biodegradable coffee pod that will work with the machine, which he believed would help with sales.

In addition to this, Ross shared that his reach on social media would be able to get the company over a million free impressions with little effort.

However, after everything was said and done, none of the sharks were interested in making a deal. It seemed that low sales and a high valuation were too much for any of the sharks to be willing to invest. Further, none of the sharks cared for the design of the portable coffee machine.

So, Brumachen left Season 12 without a deal. What happened to the company following their time in the tank? Keep reading our Brumachen update to find out!

Our Brumachen update revealed that the company seems to no longer be in business. While the website is still up, products are out of stock and the social media pages have not been updated since January 2021.
