Beatrice, Madeline and Lizzie are three entrepreneurs who met in a college design class. They’ve turned their passion for interior design into an innovative online platform called Zoom Interiors. The ladies shared that they launched the company during their junior year in college and had only been in business for about 14 months at the time of filming.

During this initial phase of the company’s growth, they had generated just under $186,000 in gross revenue, netting about $3,000.00. Some of the sharks had concerns about the scalability of the company due to the platform’s process of offering new customers a free 15 minute consultation before collecting any fees. Another concern was that the entrepreneurs planned to use an investment on application development which would remove their live consultation.

Mark Cuban was the first shark to drop out, because he didn’t agree with their business plan. Robert Herjavec didn’t like their plan to do away with the consultation and Kevin O’Leary didn’t think their company was scalable, so they both went out. Lori Greiner also dropped out because she believed the company needed far too much work and money to survive.

Barbara Corcoran was interested as long as the money wouldn’t be spent on application development. She offered $100,000  in exchange for 33% of the company. The three entrepreneurs proudly accepted her offer and made a deal with Barbara on Shark Tank. What happened next for their business? Keep reading our Zoom Interiors update to find out!

We have sad news to share in our Zoom Interiors update. Unfortunately the deal with Barbara was never finalized, and the company would ultimately be rebranded before going out of business a few years later. This will be our final Zoom Interiors update.
