Despite all the fun, things haven’t always been a party for Manuel and Grace. In 2017 Foam Party Hats only did $25,000 in sales. However, that number tripled in 2018, and by 2019 the company had done $145,000 in sales.

Partially through 2020, Foam Party Hats has done $153,000 in sales, which is pretty good considering there were very few parties and weddings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guest shark Daniel Lubetzsky showed interest in Foam Party Hats and made an offer of $100,000 for 30% equity contingent on the fact that Manuel quit his full-time job as a mechanical engineer.

Mark Cuban disagreed with the offer and warned Manuel that it’d be a mistake to quit his job at this point.

Since there were no other offers and Manuel and Grace were considering accepting Daniel’s offer, Mark teamed up with Lori Greiner and offered Foam Party Hats a $100,000 investment for 25% equity with no contingencies, which Manuel and Grace accepted.

With two new sharks on the team, let’s take a look at our Foam Party Hats update to see how they’re doing.

Since airing on Shark Tank, Manuel and Grace have increased lifetime revenue from $385,000 to $1.3 million in sales. Even better, they’re now in all Party City locations.

The investment from the sharks has also allowed Manuel and Grace to buy new equipment to make the hats in house. Being able to make their hats faster has brought in more purchase orders and will help the company grow even more.

We are so happy to report a positive Foam Party Hats update and we will keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime, you can order your custom hat on the official website.
