Jeff and Brett are longtime friends and co-founders of Boona Tandem Showerhead, a dual showerhead system designed for couples who want to shower together without fighting over hot water.

They created the product as an affordable and easy-to-install alternative to expensive bathroom renovations.

Instead of hiring a plumber or spending thousands, users can set up the Tandem Shower in minutes.

The installation involves extending a few rods and connecting valves; no tools or professional help required.

To maintain performance, Boona uses a custom-engineered showerhead that preserves strong water pressure.

Jeff and Brett emphasized that it’s currently the only solution on the market that allows people to add a second showerhead this easily and affordably.

During the pitch, Jeff explained the two available models.

The first model includes only the secondary showerhead, ideal for users who want to keep their existing setup. It retails for $249.

The second model includes both the main and tandem showerheads, retailing for $299. Regardless of the model, each unit costs $69 to manufacture.

The business launched in April 2022 via Kickstarter, where they sold over 3,000 units and made $750,000 in pre-order sales.

Since then, they’ve shipped products to over 5,000 customers, maintaining an average rating of 4.7 stars.

A strong push on TikTok and Instagram, which generated over 100 million views, helped fuel early momentum.

They’ve since gained 50,000 social media followers and built an email list of 40,000 subscribers.

Robert Herjavec asked about sales projections. Jeff responded that they expect to finish the year with $1.7 million in revenue, earning over $850,000 in profit.

When asked about the future of the company, Jeff and Brett said they plan to turn Boona into a full lifestyle brand, starting with shower accessories and expanding beyond that.

However, Kevin O’Leary advised them to stay focused. He explained that many successful Shark Tank companies succeed by mastering one product before branching out. He didn’t believe Boona was a brand yet—just a strong product.

Mark Cuban agreed. He urged them to prioritize execution before trying to grow into new categories.

Barbara Corcoran said she couldn’t relate to the product and didn’t see herself using it. She went out.

Robert passed as well. He said he already had multiple showerheads and didn’t see the need for more.

Mark liked the product and called it a potential cash machine, but didn’t think it was the right fit for him as an investor.

Lori Greiner also bowed out. She didn’t feel aligned with the product either.

Kevin was the last shark standing and made two offers.

His first offer was $400,000 for 10% equity, with a $40 per-unit royalty until he recouped $1.2 million.

His second offer was $400,000 for 33.3% equity, which would make him an equal partner. Brett countered with $600,000 for 20% equity.

Mark jumped in, questioning why they would give up 20% equity for that price.

After some back and forth between the entrepreneurs and Mark, Kevin ultimately got frustrated and withdrew both offers.

Unfortunately for Jeff and Brett, they ended up leaving empty-handed.
