The company sells its product for $149.00, while it costs $60.00 to manufacture a single unit. In their first 2 months in business and prior to filming, they had sold just 100 units. Mark Cuban believed that the company had a decent idea but that the market was generally too niche to be profitable in the long term, so he was the first shark to drop out.
Lori Greiner didn’t feel like the product was right for her, so she dropped out next. Kevin O’Leary also decided to drop out for similar reasons.
