Brooke and James brought their dog monitoring system, iPooch to the tank. Their system allows owners to check in on their dogs remotely through their smart phone, which in turn helps to ease loneliness for their pet. They can even dispense through the company’s free app.
The company sells its product for $149.00, while it costs $60.00 to manufacture a single unit. In their first 2 months in business and prior to filming, they had sold just 100 units. Mark Cuban believed that the company had a decent idea but that the market was generally too niche to be profitable in the long term, so he was the first shark to drop out.
Lori Greiner didn’t feel like the product was right for her, so she dropped out next. Kevin O’Leary also decided to drop out for similar reasons. Robert Herjavec and Daymond John went out as well because they couldn’t justify an investment. Sadly, Brooke and James were forced to leave the tank without a deal, but what happened for their company? Keep reading our iC Pooch update to find out!
