She told the sharks that she had the idea for Milk Snob after struggling to find a stylish and practical car seat cover.

Frustrated with the lack of options, she decided to create her own, and soon enough, she had a product ready to pitch.

Melanie is seeking the sharks’ expertise and is eager to secure an investment to help grow her business and expand its reach.

Milk Snob offers versatile car seat covers and baby wraps that adapt to parents’ everyday needs, from nursing to covering shopping carts.

It combines style and convenience, making it a go-to choice for modern parents who want baby gear that looks great and is suitable for regular use.

At the time of her pitch, Melanie had already done $1.2 million in sales within just 18 months.

Recognizing her winning product, she was hopeful that she could find a shark who could help her break into retail.

Guest shark Chris Sacca was quick to make an offer, proposing $125,000 for 8% equity, with the condition that he could take two samples home right away.

Seeing the strength of Chris’ offer, Mark Cuban decided to drop out of the negotiation.

Lori Greiner then offered $125,000 for 10% equity, which Kevin O’Leary tried to outdo by offering $150,000 for 10% equity as well.

Barbara Corcoran chose to step aside, leaving Melanie with three competitive offers.

Melanie countered Lori’s offer by requesting 8% equity, but Lori stood firm at 10%. She also matched Kevin’s $150,000 offer.

Chris Sacca attempted to join Lori’s deal, but Melanie wasn’t willing to part with more equity, leading both Chris and Kevin to drop out.

In the end, Melanie accepted Lori’s offer of $150,000 for 10% equity.

Let’s find out in our Milk Snob update if this was the right deal for Melanie.

Shark Tank Milk Snob Update

Our Milk Snob update found that the deal with Lori Grenier did not close.

However, that didn’t slow things down. Milk Snob expanded its offerings to include baby blankets, sleeping bags, and, in 2020, a silicone pacifier that doubles as a teether.

A breakthrough came in 2018 when the company secured a licensing deal with Disney.

The deal later expanded to feature themed products from Jeep, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.

Our research on the Milk Snob update found that in 2019, the company set up its headquarters in Richardson, Texas, to manage its expanding product line better.

Further, the brand’s popularity surged, with social media followings surpassing 174,000 on Facebook and 450,000 on Instagram.

Our Milk Snob update found that the company has grown its retail presence, with products hitting shelves in Target.

At the time of writing, Milk Snob has grown to around $6 million in annual revenue.

We can call this Milk Snob update a success.
