After covering several of the key nutritional facts about their almond water and discussing the fact that their product only contains about 110 calories, David and Deborah reassured the sharks that their two flavors of Victoria’s Kitchen almond water was an excellent healthy alternative to other similar types of beverages. They passed out samples and the sharks seemed to really love it.
At the time of their pitch, the company had growing sales numbers year-over-year with more than $600,000 in lifetime revenue. Almost all of their sales had previously come from health food stores and other specialty beverage stores. David and Deborah had managed to generate about a 45% margin by selling through these various sources.
Lori Greiner felt like there were a few minor problems that would need to be resolved before they would be able to boost sales, so she dropped out first. Barbara Corcoran also decided to drop out, because she disagreed with the company’s valuation. Next to drop out was Robert Herjavec, who didn’t like David’s sales approach. Kevin O’Leary believed there would be too much work for him, so he went out next. Last but not least, Mark Cuban dropped out because the drink had too many calories.
With no sharks interested in making an offer, David and Deborah were forced to leave the tank without a deal. What became of their almond drink company after appearing on
Our Victoria’s Kitchen update reveals some mixed news. It turns out the brand was acquired by an International company for an unknown amount. Deborah and David have apparently moved on from their passion for almond water. This will be our final Victoria’s Kitchen update.
