Preparing for the Shark Tank Pitch
Leading up to her appearance on the show, she wasn’t just looking for a financial backer. “I couldn’t wait to tell the sharks how they inspired me and gave me the courage to bring it to market,” says Cyndi.
But was she nervous about bringing her invention to a larger audience? Cyndi brought total confidence to the sound stage: “I knew the sharks would be impressed by my tenacity in inventing Wad-Free, see the mass appeal in my laundry-life-changing product, and get behind how many resources Wad-Free saves.”
When the day to pitch finally arrived, she says the experience was everything she hoped for (and more). Even though only about a quarter of the full pitch ended up on the show, Cyndi has nothing but good memories of the experience.
Of her time with the sharks, she tells us, “Everything that was said by all the sharks was so positive and complimentary, I knew no matter what made the final cut, it would be a good edit!”

Recalling the shark showdown, Cyndi says, “I didn’t expect the epic shark fight that Wad-Free stirred between Kevin and Lori, but I’m happy to say that Wad-Free is now part of Kevin O’Leary’s sustainability portfolio.”
