Shark Tank The Cereal Killerz Kitchen Update
- Entrepreneurs: Jessica and Chris Burns
- Business: Retail-focused focused cereal bar
- Ask: $125,000 for 10% equity
- Result: No Deal
- Shark: None
Jessica and Chris asked the sharks for a $125,000 investment in their company, The Cereal Killerz Kitchen, in exchange for a 10% equity. However, things got off to a rocky start after the sharks discovered that The Cereal Killerz Kitchen only had one location and it was losing $8,000 a month.
Jessica and Chris tried to explain the lack of sales with the COVID-19 pandemic, and shared that they were in the process of opening 1-3 new stores that they believed would be more profitable.
The husband and wife duo then shared a touching personal story, about how their company was inspired by their daughter who has down syndrome. Over the years they’ve struggled with finances and homelessnesses, but they started their company to help improve the life of their daughter.
The sharks were moved, but not enough to get on board. Lori Greiner was the first shark to drop out, stating that she had a conflict of interest.
Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, and Daymond John all agreed that the business was not investable for them and dropped out. With that, all five sharks were out, leaving Jessica and Chris without a deal.
