Shark Tank College Foxes Packing Boxes Pitch

Shark Tank College Foxes Packing Boxes Update
  • Entrepreneurs: Nick Friedman and Omar Soliman
  • Business: Junk removal
  • Ask: $250,000 for 25% equity
  • Result:  No deal
  • Sharks: None

Nick and Omar pitched College Foxes Packing Boxes to the sharks.

They presented their vision of a packing and moving service run by college-aged women, which sets them apart from their competitors.

They needed the investment to expand their business operations and enhance their marketing efforts.

College Foxes Packing Boxes is a professional packing service for relocations. The idea is a spin-off of their successful junk removal business, College Hunks Hauling Junk.

The service is designed to help people pack their belongings when relocating. It emphasizes efficiency and customer satisfaction to reduce the stress associated with moving.

However, a major concern for the sharks was that the business was a spin-off of another moving brand, College Hunks Hauling Junk.

The sharks also insisted the entrepreneurs must table down both businesses in order to get any deal from them.

Nick and Omar, however, were unwilling to give up equity in their already successful College Hunks business.

Kevin O’Leary was the first shark to make an offer of $250,000 for a 51% equity in both existing businesses, College Foxes Packing Boxes and College Hunks Hauling Junk.

Nick and Omar countered with $1,000,000 for 10% equity of the entire company, but Kevin laughed at the offer, found it ridiculous, and dropped out of the deal.

Daymond John was not interested in their business and also dropped out.

Kevin Harrington felt they were basing their valuation on future potential rather than current value and exited as well.

Barbara Corcoran shared Kevin’s concerns and followed suit.

Robert Herjavec, impressed by the young men’s confidence, offered $250,000 for 50% of Foxes Packing Boxes and 10% of College Hunks, using the 10% as collateral.

Again, Nick and Omar refused to give up any equity in their main business and ultimately decided to pass on the offer. They left Shark Tank without a deal.

Was this the right move for the entrepreneurs? Find out in our College Foxes Packing Boxes update.

Shark Tank College Foxes Packing Boxes Update

Our College Foxes Packing Boxes update research found that the business closed shortly after its episode airing due to its impractical and somewhat sexist business model.

However, its parent company, College Hunks Hauling Junk, continued to thrive and has grown to over 150 locations and $200 million in annual revenue.

Our College Foxes Packing Boxes update found that the company expanded its entrepreneurial efforts in 2011 by launching Trash Butler.

This valet trash service now serves over 150,000 multi-family communities across the U.S.

In 2023, the company received accolades, including spots on Entrepreneur’s Top Franchise for Veterans list, Forbes’ Best Junk Removal Companies list, and the Inc. 5000 list in Logistics & Transportation.

Nick and Omar also ventured into the entertainment industry, working on the 2023 biopic “Bezos,” with Omar as an executive producer and Nick portraying Amazon’s first employee, Shel Kaphan.

Though College Foxes Packing Boxes itself wasn’t successful, the Shark Tank exposure boosted College Hunks Hauling Junk and established Nick and Omar as recognized industry figures.

Unfortunately, this will be our last College Foxes Packing Boxes update.
