Shark Tank Victory Coffees Pitch

Shark Tank Victory Coffees Update
  • Entrepreneur: Cade Courtley
  • Business: Subscription-based coffee service
  • Ask: $250,000 for 20% equity
  • Result: No Deal
  • Sharks: None

Cade opened his pitch by introducing Victory Coffees, a subscription-based coffee service inspired by his time as a Navy SEAL.

He was looking for an investment to help grow the business, expand its customer base, and continue supporting veterans through the brand.

Victory Coffees operates as a direct-to-consumer service, delivering premium, organic, and fairly traded coffee.

Customers can choose from whole beans, ground coffee, or K-Cups, with options for light, medium, dark roasts, and decaf.

These are conveniently delivered to their door through a monthly subscription.

Run by veterans, the company sources its coffee from sustainable farms in Central and South America, Africa, and Sumatra. It emphasizes ethical practices and ensures freshness in every batch.

It appeals to coffee lovers who value high-quality, organic coffee and the convenience of a subscription service.

The brand also resonates with those who want to support veteran-owned businesses, offering a blend of patriotism and premium products.

Customers can easily subscribe through the website and choose their preferred coffee options. Further, they can then select a subscription plan that fits their needs.

The flexible model allows customers to cancel anytime, making it a hassle-free experience.

Victory Coffees stands out for its strong connection to military values and dedication to ethically sourced coffee.

The company is also committed to providing exceptional customer service.

After his introduction, Cade’s assistant, dressed as Rosie the Riveter, handed out coffee samples to the sharks, who enjoyed the taste.

Cade explained that it costs $3.50 to produce a bag of coffee, which he sells for $12. This gives him a 70% profit margin.

However, Mark Cuban raised concerns about the small size of the business and Cade’s lack of focus.

Robert Herjavec viewed the company more as a marketing business than a true coffee company.

Both Mark and Robert ultimately decided to exit the negotiations.

Lori Greiner followed, citing the crowded nature of the coffee market.

Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary agreed, feeling that Cade’s business was too early in its development for a major investment. So, they exited the negotiations.

Unfortunately, Cade left Shark Tank without a deal.

Now, let’s look at our Victory Coffees update to see how the company has progressed since its appearance on Shark Tank.

Shark Tank Victory Coffees Update

Our Victory Coffees update found that shortly after airing, the company hit $1 million in sales, showing just how much the show’s exposure helped.

In 2017, Cade launched an initiative to provide coffee to VA hospitals, though a long-term partnership didn’t come together as Starbucks held the contract.

By 2018, the brand expanded its product line, introducing the Victory Canteen, a stainless steel insulated cup, alongside its popular coffee blends, Leatherneck and Admiral.

Our Victory Coffees update found that Cade launched the Victory Challenge in April 2023, encouraging people to check in on veterans while enjoying a cup of coffee.

While running the business, he juggles media appearances, podcasts, and other ventures.

However, Victory Coffees is still a key focus, as Cade regularly promotes the brand in interviews and on his social platforms.

We can’t wait to bring you another exciting Victory Coffees update.
