A car accident that nearly claimed Arsy’s life sparked his mission to protect pets during unexpected events.
With Woof, his app is designed to ensure no pet gets left behind in an emergency.
He’s seeking an investment to expand marketing efforts and enhance the app’s capabilities for a seamless user experience.
Woof is a simple app that helps keep pets safe when their owners can’t make it home as planned. It works by using a timer based on your daily routine.
For example, if you leave home at 8:30 AM and expect to be back by 6:30 PM, you set those times in the app. If you don’t return home by the end of the timer, the app takes action.
First, it will try to contact you. If you don’t respond, it will contact the emergency contacts you’ve listed.
If no one can be reached, the app will arrange for a wellness check to make sure your pet is safe.
The app can be used for any kind of pet, not just dogs or cats. It also creates a “pet passport,” which is a digital record of all your pet’s important details.
This information can be easily shared with a pet sitter or caregiver when needed.
By setting up your routine and emergency contacts, you can feel confident that your pet will always have someone to care for them when you’re not around.
Customers can subscribe to the service for $2.99 per month or $30 per year. Arsy told the sharks that he had spent $2,500 on marketing and had just over 100 paid subscriptions.
In the three months since the app launched, users have accessed the support system four times, but none have escalated to a wellness check.
If it ever does, local authorities would step in to take the pet to a shelter until the owner or an emergency contact can pick it up.
Robert Herjavec compared this setup to a concierge service, and Arsy agreed.
However, all the sharks had mixed feelings about investing and declined to do so.
Daymond John was concerned Arsy didn’t own the app’s name.
