Copy Keyboard Update | Shark Tank Season 14
Scotty Trujillo got tired of how annoying it was to keep copying and pasting while working on his computer. Let’s see if this idea will stand a chance of getting an offer from any of the sharks. Keep reading our Copy Keyboard update and pitch recap for more information.

His simple two-button USB device allows customers to copy and paste with greater convenience and ease than ever before.
Rather than reaching across the keyboard and holding down several buttons, his device has just two, one for copying and the other for pasting.
He’s seeking investment to lower production costs by ordering in larger volumes, which would allow him to scale the business and keep up with growing demand.
The Copy Keyboard device plugs directly into a USB port and works with both Mac and PC.Â
No special software is needed so that anyone can use it right away. He explained how repetitive copying and pasting causes hand strain.Â
At the time of his pitch, the product was only available on the company’s website. The black standard model was in stock, but due to low inventory, other versions had a 2-3 week waitlist.
Scotty gained viral success on TikTok, where his videos reached over 20 million views. This exposure helped him build a small business.Â
However, since launching in 2021, the product has generated just $42,209 in gross sales.Â
Scotty told the sharks that the landed cost of $9.14 per unit could be reduced to about $6.50 per unit by ordering in larger volumes.Â
The product costs $19.99 and supports traditional USB ports on a computer. A special LED-integrated version with RGB lights costs $24.99.Â
After listening to his pitch, all the sharks decided to exit the negotiations as they didn’t find the product worthy of their investment.Â
Unfortunately, Scotty was forced to leave without a deal.Â
