Honey Bunchies is a honey-based snack bar made with 42% pure honey, combined with nuts like pecans or peanuts, and rolled in lightly salted sunflower kernels.

This handmade bar is a healthier alternative to traditional snacks, as it is soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and grain-free.

Designed to offer a natural and clean energy source, Honey Bunchies caters to health-conscious individuals, including those with dietary restrictions or allergies.

It works by providing natural sweetness from honey, combined with the crunch of nuts and sunflower kernels.

Kendra shared a little backstory with the sharks. Her dad, a former F-4 fighter pilot in Vietnam, often ate candy bars and drank cola during missions to stay energized.

This led to serious health problems, including hyperglycemia, which nearly turned into diabetes—something a fighter pilot simply couldn’t afford.

To help him, Kendra’s mom created a honey-based snack that gave him a healthier source of energy.

The sharks got to try the bars during the pitch and loved the taste. Kendra explained that her dad named the bars after her mom, calling her “honey bunchy.”

Each bar costs 81 cents to make and sells for $2.99. By mid-2022, they had made $300,000 in sales and expected to reach $519,000 by the end of the year.

Looking ahead, they aimed for $2.4 to $4.2 million in sales, thanks to new partnerships with distributors, private label deals, and plans to expand into Seven-Eleven stores.

Despite the positive feedback on the product, the sharks had concerns.

Mark Cuban thought the energy bar market was too competitive, He’s the first shark out.

Lori Greiner liked the family story but admitted she wasn’t a fan of honey, she’s out as well.

Barbara Corcoran worried Kendra might be overly optimistic about the business’s future, so she exited the negotiations.

Daymond John felt investing in family-run businesses was risky, and Kevin O’Leary believed the workload ahead was overwhelming, so they both exited the deal.

Unfortunately, Kendra left without a deal, but what happened next? Keep reading our Honey Bunchies update to find out.
