Stringys Update | Shark Tank Season 16
Traditional panties often show visible lines under clothing, dig into the skin, and shift around, making them uncomfortable and hard to wear with fitted outfits. Let’s dive into our Stringys update and pitch recap to find out.

Shark Tank Stringys Pitch

- Entrepreneurs: Olivia Karina and Elvira Troger
- Business: Invisible undergarments
- Ask: $300,000 for 5% equity
- Result: $300,000 for 3% equity plus $0.22 in perpetuity
- Shark: Barbara Corcoran
Olivia and Elvira pitched Stringys, a line of invisible panties designed to stay in place without showing lines or causing discomfort.
The underwear sticks directly to the skin, doesn’t roll down, and feels like wearing nothing. It’s made with bonded materials, not layered fabric, making it seamless and unique.
They run the business through a direct-to-consumer model, mostly selling online. They recently added three wholesale partners.
In just 11 months, they generated $180,000 in sales. Each pair costs $2 to make and sells for $14, giving them solid profit margins.
Additionally, the panties are lightweight and compact, making storage and shipping simple. 2,000 units can fit in a small bag.
Most of their sales came from word of mouth and social media exposure.
According to the entrepreneurs, Stringys gained early support from investors, including a Sports Illustrated model, a well-known influencer, and two successful businesswomen.
They previously raised $400,000 at a $10 million valuation through a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity).
During the pitch, the sharks had questions. Lori Greiner asked if they had a patent.
Elvira confirmed the patent is pending and explained that the design was difficult to develop, requiring over 60 prototypes.
Barbara Corcoran wanted to know how they would use the $300,000. The founders said they needed funds to place larger purchase orders and avoid constant sellouts.
Kevin O’Leary questioned the valuation and asked how they planned to scale. Still, he made the first offer of $300,000 for 3% equity and a $1 per unit royalty in perpetuity.
Meanwhile, Daymond John dropped out, saying the valuation was too high for the current sales. Lori also stepped out, noting Kevin was a better fit.
Mark Cuban said he couldn’t add much value and went out as well.
Barbara offered $300,000 for 10% equity, saying she believed in their brand potential.
Olivia and Elvira explained that taking a lower valuation would hurt them due to their existing SAFE notes, which convert with a 30% discount.
They proposed giving advisory shares and limiting the royalty. Kevin stayed firm on a $1 royalty, then lowered it to $0.50.
Barbara agreed to a lower royalty of $0.22 per unit sold in perpetuity and held at 3% equity.
After a final counter to Barbara—$300,000 for 3% equity and $0.22 royalty in perpetuity without advisory shares, she accepted.
Olivia and Elvira closed the deal with Barbara.
