They were looking for an investment to stock up inventory and streamline logistics, ensuring they could handle the rush during peak seasons.

With Bucket Golf, they’ve created a portable Par 3 game that combines the thrill of golf with the laid-back feel of a backyard hangout.

Moreover, the pop-up buckets are lightweight and easy to set up, so every game feels new and exciting.

In terms of sales strategy, their approach is simple—they sell directly to customers through their website and Amazon, cutting out middlemen to keep prices affordable.

Furthermore, the game set is super compact, making it a breeze to toss in the car for a picnic or pull out for a quick backyard match.

It’s perfect for family get-togethers, casual players, and golf enthusiasts who want a more relaxed way to play.

It costs $60 to produce, and they sell it for $199, giving them a healthy 70% profit margin.

In 2021, they made a game-changing switch to pop-up buckets, which cut down weight and made shipping more flexible.

As a result, from slow beginnings, with just $5,000 in sales between 2018 and 2020, they saw a huge leap.

By 2022, sales hit $2.5 million and nearly doubled to $5.9 million in 2023.

Currently, in 2024, they’re on track to break $12 million, with profit margins hovering between 15% and 20%.

Notably, about 85% of revenue comes from their website and Amazon. With slim margins, retail hasn’t been a viable route.

Kevin O’Leary opened the negotiations. He offered $1 million for 25% equity, pointing out that hitting $100 million would mean partnering with distributors who’d take a slice of the profits.

Shortly after, Daymond John quickly matched this offer of $1 million for 25% equity. He was confident they could push the business to reach $150 million in sales.

Meanwhile, guest shark Todd Graves says he’s not really excited about the business. He’s out.

Lori Greiner offered $1 million for 22.5% equity, asking for preferred stock to secure her stake.

Specifically, she wanted to make sure she’d get a share of the profits whenever the founders took theirs.

In contrast, Mark Cuban offered $1 million for 15% equity, emphasizing that he would receive distributions whenever the entrepreneurs did.

In response, Tyler countered Mark for 12.5% equity.

Mark was hesitant, but when Lori agreed to the counteroffer, he immediately changed his mind.

In the end, Tyler and Jen settled for $1 million for 12.5% equity with Mark Cuban.
