Go Nutz Update | Shark Tank Season 16
While shaving in his bathroom, Landon McKinnis realized he was using the same straight razor for his face and private areas, but somehow he knew it didn’t feel right or safe. The pain and awkward angles made grooming difficult, especially around curves. As a result of this, he was motivated to create Go Nutz, a curved, palm-sized electric shaver made for safer, more comfortable grooming in sensitive spots. Will the sharks see the potential in this personal care upgrade? Let’s find out in our Go Nutz update and pitch recap.

Shark Tank Go Nutz Pitch

- Entrepreneur: Landon McKinnis
- Business: Personal grooming device
- Ask: $100,000 for 15% equity
- Result: $120,000 for 30% equity
- Sharks: Mark Cuban and Daymond John
Landon opened his pitch by addressing a common issue: how difficult it is to groom sensitive areas using traditional razors.
He explained that standard razors are straight and rigid, while the human body has curves. That mismatch, he said, leads to discomfort and poor results.
To solve this, Landon developed Go Nutz, a compact, palm-sized grooming tool designed to follow the body’s natural shape.
It’s fully waterproof, runs for 2.5 hours per charge, and includes magnetic attachments for different grooming needs. The device is made for both men and women.
During the pitch, he handed each shark a unit and showed how the attachments work.
Daymond John asked if the tool was meant for facial grooming. Landon clarified it was built for full-body use, including private areas.
Mark Cuban tested the product and said it performed better than regular electric razors. It felt smoother and didn’t burn the skin.
Kevin O’Leary brought up a major competitor already doing over a billion dollars in sales. He asked how Landon planned to compete.
Landon admitted the market was crowded but said he was a one-man operation looking for help to scale.
He shared that he studied architectural engineering and taught himself design using AutoCAD. He designed Go Nutz from a simple sketch and pushed through high costs and misleading invention firms to get to market.
Kevin asked about launch and sales. Landon said he launched in late 2023 with 1,000 units. He sold out quickly after going viral, earning $59,000.
In 2024, he had already made $45,000 more and had 1,732 units in stock. Daymond praised him for knowing his numbers.
Kevin bowed out, saying the shaving market was too mature. Lori Greiner passed as well, saying it didn’t fit her brand.
Mark was interested and offered $100,000 for 25% equity and wanted to focus on dominating the male grooming market first.
Daymond suggested partnering with Mark, offering $120,000 for 30% equity. He noted he had contacts at Andis who could help.
Barbara disagreed with their approach, suggesting that Landon should focus more on marketing to women and the intimate grooming niche.
She offered $100,000 for 20% equity and said she would keep the brand in its original lane. She also emphasized her strength in social media.
The sharks debated. Barbara argued that the women’s market was larger and underexplored.
Mark and Daymond believed it was smarter to start with a use case they understood and could promote directly.
Landon asked about support. Mark and Daymond promised mentorship and help from their teams.
Barbara pressed again, but Landon made his decision. He accepted Mark and Daymond’s offer of $120,000 for 30% equity.
