She runs a candy-themed event studio in New York City where kids make edible crafts like slime, sushi, and chocolate tacos.

In addition to in-person parties, she also sells DIY candy kits online and in her store.

Kevin O’Leary asked what made her business proprietary. Cricket explained that it’s a full brand combining in-person experiences with take-home products.

She said her kits are sold on Amazon and at the store, but 80% of revenue comes from the studio.

Kit sales totaled $100,000 over 18 months. Total sales across the business reached $1.7 million.

Each kit cost $39.99 and was featured twice on the Today Show. Production costs had dropped from $17 to $13

Robert Herjavec asked how much came from the store. Cricket said parties alone generate $500,000 a year.

Mark Cuban asked if parties were her main income. Cricket said yes. She hosts three parties every Saturday and Sunday.

She added that she plans to franchise and is working with an agency to launch that in January.

Robert asked whether she was focused on kits or franchising. Cricket said she was pitching the overall brand and needed help scaling.

Kevin asked if she was running it alone. She said yes.

Mark asked for her most recent monthly sales. She didn’t know. He told her it was risky to sell franchises without a proven model or clear numbers.

Kevin challenged her on the projected $350,000 annual revenue per franchise. She said the number came from a franchise agency and was intentionally conservative.

Barbara Corcoran and Mark both warned that franchising too soon could backfire. Robert asked for past yearly sales.

Cricket read from her notes. Her company had brought in $300,000 in 2022 and $730,000 in 2023.

Kevin said the business was too small for franchising and opted out.

Barbara asked how confident she felt about selling franchises. Cricket said customers love the in-store experience.

She revealed she earns about $3,500 per party, but couldn’t give a yearly profit.

Lori Greiner and Kevin pushed again for clear profit numbers. Cricket couldn’t answer. Kevin reminded her that knowing the numbers is essential.

Robert said he liked the concept but couldn’t invest without clarity. Barbara said she liked her, but didn’t see a clear path to making money.

Lori said Cricket needed a strong partner to handle the business side, and also stepped out.

Ultimately, all sharks declined to invest.

With no offers from the sharks, Cricket left without a deal.
