After seeing Tara Brown introduce the product and demonstrate the benefits, the sharks couldn’t help but feel impressed. They were even more amazed by the fact that Tara was able to raise $47,000 after a one-month Kickstarter campaign. She’d sold $6,000 worth of products in less than a month.

In addition to this, the sharks saw Tara’s commitment; she enrolled in fashion school to learn how to sew, which was astounding when you consider that she was already an accomplished ophthalmologist.

Before any of the other sharks could even react, Lori Greiner swept in and offered Brown $75,000 for 30%. Tara then countered Greiner by lowering the equity ask to 25% and the rest is history.

It’s been several years since Tara shook hands with Lori in the Shark Tank, which is why a Sleep Styler update is long overdue.

Just a day after Brown received funding from Lori Greiner, The Sleep Styler made $1.5 million in sales. Three days after this, Lori’s company took over the manufacturing side of the business so that it could be distributed to several retail outlets such as Amazon, Walmart, QVC, and more. The Sleep Styler has made more than $100 million in sales over the years, making it one of the most popular products ever on Shark Tank.
